Welcome to Mymensingh. A divisional headquarter of Mymensingh. It is north part of Bangladesh. In fact, this place was named after the name of a king (Raja) Man Singh a Navaratnas Great emperor Akbar. Its area is 4,363.48 sq km. This district was established in 1787. Afterwards it was divided into six districts. So,These are Jamalpur, Mymensingh, Sherpur and Netrokona under this division.

Besides there are 8 municipalities, 12 Upazilas, 146 union Parishads, 84 wards, 206 Mahallas, 2201 Mouzas and 2709 villages. Indeed, Mymensingh Gitiaka is a great literary resource in Bangla literature of our country.

Tourist spots in Mymensingh are Agricultural University, Bokaynagar Fort, Maharaj Shashikanta house and more. This town is situated on the bank of the Bramhputra River.

India and Garo Hill is on the north Gazipur district on the south Netrokona and Kishoreganj districts in the east.  Sherpur, Jamalpur and Tangail districts are on the west. Mymensingh has a rich background of Bangladesh history. Kazi Nazrul Islam, our national poet once visited the place.

Birishiri Tour to Ceramic Clay Hills and Tribal Community

Birishiri Tour: Generally Birishiri is a rural area that it is lying at the foot of Garo ( a tribal community) Hills ran through by a beautiful river named Someshwari. It is in Netrokona a district to the north of Dhaka and bordering with India. Here is a hill of white china clay which people use to make ceramics plates. You must like to have a look or climb that hill. Local people know well that hill as (Cheena matir pahar) ceramic hills. Possible to visit either walking through the village or riding a rickshaw to reach that hill.
