Itinerary of Sundarban Private Tour for One Day
Starts: Our tour guide will meet you in your hotel or in Mongla town to pick up to start one day tour to Sundarban. Generally by local transport, you will go to the launch ghat with tour guide. Reaching there, we have ready boats to get on the engine boat that moves to tourists spots. There are two options in the trip which is mentioned below. It is a boating through big rivers and canals to visit Sundarban national park, the largest mangrove forest of the world.
During the tour, possible to see monkey, these monkeys are most common in tropical countries. Spotted deer – you can see them in big group which is very common in Sundarban visit, crocodile – there is crocodile breeding center besides you may see some wild crocodiles basking in the Sun at the waterside. A natural mangrove forest where there are some trees having capacity of life being under water. This type of trees grow only in mangrove forest. After visiting Sundarbans, you will return the boat station at the end of the day. The tour ends.
Two options to visit the largest mangrove forest of the World
- Option-A, ( Start – 8.00 AM and Finish – 2.00 PM) Places to visit:
- Karamjol – from Mongla to Koromjol the distance is about 8 kilometers that takes 1 and half hours journey by engine boat. Karamjol is an Eco tourism center of Sundarban National Park where there are deer, monkey, crocodile breeding center and walk on wooden path in the forest. You can spend minimum 1 hour in this area by walking on the paved path. Then we will move to Dangmaria or canal cruise here for 1 hour.
- Dangmaria – it is a river canal flows by the side of Sundarban forest. While boating on the big river at the forest side you can enjoy the forest and some local community is in opposite side of the river. In the river, you may see dolphins. As there are small canals, we can go to as far as possible to enjoy nature. There is less biodiversity.
- Option-B, ( Start – 8.00 AM – 5 PM ), Places to visit:
- Koromjol and Herbaria or Andharmanik. From Mongla to Herbaria the distance is about 20 kilometers. Herbaria is also an Eco tourism center where activity is walking through the wooden trails to see biodiversity for 2 hours.
- Andharmanik is an Eco tourism center too having facilities for tourists to walk on the trails to see biodiversity. The distance from Mongla is about 3 hours journey.

Note: If you want to start the tour from Khulna, we can book a car for you. You have to start early by any reserved car to join the tour in time. Extra car rent which you will pay.
How to go to Mongla?
From any town or city, you can take a public bus journey or take a reserved car to reach Mongla city. Besides, there is a flight to Jessore airport from other cities. The distance from Dhaka to Mongla is about 230 kilometers.
How is the tour led?
We have pre arranged engine boat for you. We start boating from Mongla through big river for 1 hour. While boating, you can see Sundarban mangrove forest, ships, fishermen houses and fishing boats from your seat. Later we enter the national park to walk for 1 or 2 hour on elevated walking trail. There is also canal to row boat.
