• 1st Day: Visit Whole Day in Sreemangal
  • Tour guide with reserved transport will receive you from your hotel to start the trip. Depending on your hotel location, it takes about 15 minutes drive toward Lawachara national park.
  • Lawachara is the first stop to start walking or hiking in tropical rain forest which is the best for nature, wildlife and home of endangered species gibbon. The path is open for short walk and narrow bushy trails are for hiking to be away from local crowd. You may choose on that time to step.
  • A tribal village known as Khasia ethnic community is situated inside the forest with their unique culture. They are real Asian face people with women leading society. You can see their lifestyle staying longer with them. Next we will drive to town for lunch.

Lunch can be arranged at a tribal family to experience local food

• After lunch, we will drive to Madhabpur lake. Our stop is at tribal village and hilly tea garden to enjoy the greenest part of the country.
  • In 10 minutes, we will stop at a tribal community named Tripura. This is also Asian face people but many of them are very introvert. We will walk around to see people and their activities.
  • We will take a short drive to reach the hilly tea garden. Here we will start walking on the main road passing by green hilly, flat tea garden in both sides. We can walk up the hills too. The area is very calm and quiet.
  • Then we drive to the Madhabpur lake surrounded by dotted tea garden hills. You will see the natural view from the top of the hill and walk back at the lake side. Next driving is to tea workers community.
  • Tea worker is also an ethnic community. Their life is like a colonial life because of their ancestors were brought by the British. You can walk through the village to see their lifestyle.
  • Seven color tea shop is the last stop to taste amazing seven layers tea in one glass. It was first invented here. Then we drive to hotel.
  • Overnight at hotel in Srimangal.

People, Culture and Local Activities in Remote Areas, Experience like a Local

• 2nd Day: Visit Whole Day in Srimangal
  • This morning, we will visit the local market to see the daily activities. It is a bit crowd. Then we drive to wetland. In winter, there are migratory birds and boating in other seasons to see fishermen activities. Next stop at pottery village.
  • Pottery village is in country side where traditionally some utensils are made for family use. It is not widely used now a days. Once upon a time these clay utensils were the main pots to cook and to serve food. You can see here how they make clay pots with their skilled technics.
  • Continue driving to a tribal village. In 10 minutes, we will reach there to see their lifestyle and traditional weaving technics.
  • Monipuri is an ethnic community looks an ASIAN face because of their forefathers came in this region. They weave cloth with their wooden handloom machine. The cloth becomes very popular to local as well to wear now-a-days. Their cultural program annually held in November which is much popular too.
  • After lunch, drive to a small landlord house. If the day is Monday, we can visit cow market. Then we will walk to rail station colony to see street people’s lifestyle. Continue driving to massacre place of 1971 which is just a memorial place. Pakistani solders massacred and the dead bodies were buried here.
  • Move to the hotel for overnight stay. Trip ends.
