Tour Plan to Dhaka and Barishal Trip for 2 Days and 2 Nights
1st day: Things to do in Old Dhaka visit.
- Receive from your hotel or airport in Dhaka.
- Start the tour in the morning to visit all highlighted places.
- Parliament building – legislative building.
- Curzon Hall- Dhaka University.
- Dhakeswary temple-the oldest famous temple.
- Star mosque.
- Lalbagh fort.
- Ahsan Manzil.
- Shakari Bazar.
- Walk around the Sadarghat to see busiest river transport junction.
Night Journey: From Dhaka to Barishal by launch (sleeping cabin).
- Get in rocket steamer (if rocket steamer runs in this day) or take launch journey at 7.00 PM/ 8.00 PM. It is a night journey of about 8 hours. There are private cabins to sleep. In one cabin, two single beds.
- Dinner is in the launch (Bangladeshi food – plain rice, vegetable, fish and meat).
- We will get off at Barisal boat station in the early morning. We may wait here if it is so dark.
Tour to Barishal to see only floating market of Bangladesh
2nd Day: Things to do in Barishal.
- Early morning, we drive to the boat station by local transport. It may take one hour journey.
- On the way we take breakfast at local restaurant.
- From boat station, we get in the engine boat which starts to floating market of vegetable and seasonal fruit etc. It is another one hour drive. (Guava floating market at Bhimruli from Swarupkati/Jalokati) in July and August.
- Visit few hours here in the floating market.
- Move to town for lunch and then continue driving to the attractions.
- Visit landlord house.
- Oldest mosque.
- Church visit.
- Museum visit. (if there is enough time).
- Finish the day trip in the afternoon.
Night Journey: From Barishal to Dhaka by launch (sleeping cabin).
