Off Track Tour in Dhaka and Barisal for 2 Days 2 Nights is a different route of the trip plan will be used in this program. Local tour guide will accompany you to lead the trip.

  • Highlights in the trip: People, working area, off track path. We know their timing when these are seen and activities done. Activities are not occurred every hours.
  • Time to travel: Round the year.
  • Starting place: Any hotel or airport in Dhaka.
  • Ending place: The same where received.
  • Starting – we will start the tour early in the morning. Places to visit and activities are as follows.
  • Kawaran Bazar – is the biggest fish market and vegetable market. Take photographs of passersby having mehendi, busy working classes people in the market.
  • Butchers workshop of meat of cows and goats. Their daily activities. Good for photographs.
  • Colony of rail station where street people live, take photograph and visit around.
  • Burigonga river side – after breakfast, drive to Lalbagh area of the Buriganga river where all used plastic bags and polythene stored for washing and drying that these were picked up from the ground across the country. (Offensive smelly area). Colorful plastic products are kept in the sun to dry up.
  • Babur Bazar – bridge area to see view of water transport and daily activities of people. It is not seen every time.
  • Coal loading and unloading from the ship by hard working men and women workers. These coals are from Africa, Indonesia, India etc. Drive from Balu ghat, Savar.
  • Tannery – Visit tannery to see the activities. After Hamayetpur, Savar visit, move to next place.
  • Sadarghat – Move to Sadarghat area to see movement of busy people which is one of the busiest area in Dhaka.
  • Night Journey by Launch / Ship to Barisal. Get in the launch / ship at 7 pm or 8 pm. About 8 hours journey. There is AC/Non AC single cabin, double cabin and family room. (Bengali food is available in the launch to buy).
  • Starts – Early in the morning, drive to only backwater and floating market of Bangladesh. Places that you can visit.
  • Floating market – Drive to only floating market of Bangladesh. Banaripara/ Vimruli/ Swarup Kati. Visit the busiest market on water where buyers and sellers are shopping their daily commodities.
  • Food – Lunch at local restaurant with Bangla food or you can go to town to have special dish.
  • Ship repairing center – Ship breaking yard, once upon a time in British period, it was the sea port. The workers are repairing, painting the ship and launch.
  • Timber and sawmill – Loading and unloading goods to the ship and trucks.
  • Brick factory – Visit brick factory to see labor’s daily work.
  • Nomad community – Move to a gypsy colony to know and see their lifestyle.
  • Night Journey by Launch / Ship to Dhaka. Get in the launch / ship at 7 pm or 8 pm. About 8 hours journey. There is AC/Non AC single cabin, double cabin and family room. (Bengali food is available).
  • Trip ends – After reaching at launch station, we will drop you at your hotel/airport/ rail station.

Note: To take photograph of people, sometimes it is easy and difficult too. Some places are not easy to access. It depends on situation. Photography with poor people involves tips that incurs to you. We can not visit all places if they change their locations. For example, nomad people.
