Description: Bishwo Ijtema was started in 1942. It is a Muslim congress. Some people believe it as pilgrimage. It is held every year in January. The most crowded gathering is Bishwo Ijtema. This is the second largest Muslim gathering in the world. About 5 million Muslim devotee people from every corner of the world attend for 3 days activities in praying. During the Ijtema time, people from other parts of the country travel by train, ship, bus even walking which makes a big gathering. You can not imagine seeing the covered train with passengers.
Itinerary of Bangladesh Photography Tour for 12 Days
- Destination: Dhaka – Sylhet – Srimangal – Chittagong – Cox’s Bazar – Dhaka.

1st Day: Receive – check in hotel. Tour in old Dhaka- Best photography in Bangladesh
- ▶️ Old Dhaka streets – you will walk long time in the busy roads to spot out colorful people with traditional dress.
- ▶️ Street rickshaw painting – painters paint on the back of rickshaw on the street or at road side.
- ▶️ Colonial buildings – many buildings were built in the British period on both side of the road. These stand high making a narrow lane to walk.
- ▶️ Plastic dying – these are collected from country side by local poor people and spread in the sun to dry up. Sometimes they are dyed.
- ▶️ Riverside waste field – people throw garbage at the river side where poor children collect their needs.
- ▶️ Mini ship breaking yards – once upon a time this place was famous ship breaking yard. Now-a-days ferries and big boats are repaired.
- ▶️ Overnight in Dhaka.
2nd Day: Visit Old Dhaka City, Great Image Tour in Dhaka, Bangladesh
- ▶️ People are very busy on the street in Old Dhaka in the morning.
- ▶️ Labors mix with black color for coal loading and unloading.
- ▶️ Workers carry bricks in brick factory and make with their hands traditionally.
- ▶️ Two ways of lather processing, one is by automatic machine and another one is traditional process with hands.
- ▶️ Overnight in Dhaka.
3rd Day: Muslim congress in Bishwo Ijtema – image tour in Bangladesh, Dhaka
- ▶️ Visit the most crowd of Muslim devotees with religious cap wearing to capture nice photos.
- ▶️ For a lot of devotees, roads and streets are block to move.
- ▶️ Take photos of praying people on the roads. The train is the main transportation for a big crowd and good photography.
- ▶️ Overnight in Dhaka.
4th Day: Tour around Dhaka city. Great Image of Bangladesh
- ▶️ Brick factories to see the workers activities to make bricks with clay. Labors make clay and bricks with hands then dry up in the sun. You can see full process.
- ▶️ Local slum where workers live. Huts are very small and not decorated, just to sleep somehow.
- ▶️ Local train station is a place of much crowd.
- ▶️ River port is station that river transports commute.
- ▶️ Overnight in Dhaka.
5th Day: Final Pray Day in the Ijtema Congress, Dhaka.
- ▶️ As today is the final day, the place becomes the most crowded place for photography. Movement becomes complex.
- ▶️ Transport faces difficulties to move forward.
- ▶️ Overnight in Dhaka.
6th Day: Visit Batik Village and Rice Drying Area then to Sylhet
- ▶️ On the way, we will see many local workshops of fabrics that daily workers dying threads and drying in the sun. Good place for taking photographs of dying fabrics.
- ▶️ During drive we will see green paddy fields and workers. Rice drying in the open field.
- ▶️ Overnight at hotel in Sylhet.
7th Day: Visit Sylhet then to Tea Capital, Srimangal
- ▶️ Only stone collection center in Bangladesh and sand collection from the bed of river. Better time is early morning and late afternoon.
- ▶️ See local technique of collecting sand, coal and pebbles.
- ▶️ Overnight at hotel in Sreemangal.
8th Day: Visit in Srimangal then long drive to Chittagong
- ▶️ Visit whole day to see tea workers working in the tea field. All tea leaf pickers are women from Indian tribal community. They look different in photographs.
- ▶️ Tribal community visit to take a chance of photography with people.
- ▶️ Overnight at hotel in Chittagong.
9th Day: visit whole day in the port city – Chittagong
- ▶️ Salt production center visit – people are loading and unloading salt with basket. Besides other labors collect products from ferry.
- ▶️ The biggest fish market of Bangladesh where you will see different type of big fish caught from the sea.
- ▶️ Dry fish area is a place that local involves in dry fish business. First they catch fish from the sea and dry in the sun for sale.
- ▶️ Overnight at hotel in Chittagong.
10th Day: Chittagong visit to longest sea beach of the world – Cox’s Bazar
- ▶️ Morning drive to Cox’s Bazar to visit the longest sea beach of the world and see the sun set.
- ▶️ Taking photography with drone or general camera to fishermen boats in the sea.
- ▶️ Overnight at hotel in Cox’s Bazar.
11th Day: Visit and drive to the capital city of Bangladesh, – Dhaka.
- ▶️ Early in the morning, you will visit the sea beach again to see red crab on the beach for photographs.
- ▶️ Then drive to Dhaka.
- ▶️ Overnight at hotel in Dhaka.
12th Day: Relax in Dhaka – Departure.
- ▶️ Relax in the hotel till 12 PM or assemble everything before the flight.
- ▶️ In the afternoon, we will drop off you at airport in Dhaka. Trip ends.
