Itinerary of 9 Days 8 Nights Tour in Bangladesh
Day-1: (Your arrival – Dhaka), after your arrival in Dhaka, our tour guide will receive you from airport and transfer to the hotel. Then we will start to visit old Dhaka. The places in old Dhaka to visit are as following:
• Sadarghat- the most crowded area in Bangladesh where there are river transports to launch to different locations. It is the best place for photography. You will be amazed here by walking, visiting and boating. This place will give an idea of local people style.
• Ahsan Manzil- a pink palace was built in Mughal period. One of the best travel places in Dhaka.
• Sakhari bazaar- A narrow path in the market to see the Hindu markets. It is also very crowd.
• Lalbagh fort- A fort was built in Mughal period. It is also a nice place for information and historical sites.
* Star mosque- A Mughal period mosque with star sign on its inner and outer wall which has dome is also an attraction to tourists.
^ Dhakeshwory temple- An oldest temple in Bangladesh.
• Curzon hall- A building was built in the British period. The buildings look nice.
Nigh Journey: The launch starts at 8.30/9.00 pm from Dhaka to Barisal. It takes about 8 hours. In the launch, there are private cabins with attached bath.
Backwater Trip in Barisal
Day-2: (Barisal visit), after reaching there early in the morning, we will drive to the places for visit. You will check in hotel late. Places are as follows:
• Floating market, the only place to see the floating market in Bangladesh. In the market, there are vegetables, timbers, rice etc. July is the best time to see floating market.
• Ship breaking yard, you can also visit ship breaking yard. Once upon a time, it was a ship movement place. Now steamers and boats are repaired.
• Landlord house– An old house was built in 16th century. It is still abandoned.
• A Mughal mosque– An oldest designed mosque in a country side.
• Overnight in Barisal.
Island known as Chor in Bangla
Day-3 (Barisal – Dhaka to Chor Island), drive to Dhaka – it takes about 4 hours. (Depends on traffic in Dhaka). Reaching there, we will drive by car to a place to take a boat journey. It may take about 3 hours journey.
• Chor Island, by boat we will go to an Island to see their lifestyle. Island is created by river erosion and flood.
• Overnight in Dhaka.
Day-4 (Dhaka – Sreemangal), we will drive from Dhaka to Srrimangal. It takes about 5 hours journey. After reaching there, check in hotel then you will visit some places as follows:
• Monipuri tribal community visit to see their lifestyle and weaving cloths with their handloom machine.
• Tea worker community– A type of tribal community living in the hilly areas. This tribal people live near the tea gardens and work for the tea company.
• Seven color tea shop– there are seven color and seven layers in one glass. You may try to taste.
• Overnight in Srimangal.
Sreemangal – the Tea Capital of Bangladesh
Day-5 (Sreemangal), whole day visit in Sreemangal. This day, you will visit places as below:
• Lawachora– this is a tropical rain forest where you can walk in the forest to enjoy nature and see bio diversity.
• Khasia tribal community- A tribal community lives in the forest. You can see them and their lifestyle.
• Tea plantation– The green tea valley and green carpet of tea garden is for long way where you can walk in tranquil.
• Tripura tribal people– Another tribal community is living near the forest. You can visit their village.
Day-6: (Srimangal- Sylhet), In the morning, we will visit some places as follows:
• Garo tribal community. OR pottery village where they make utensils with mud.
• Then drive to Sylhet. It takes about 1.30 hours.
• Afternoon, you will check in the hotel in Sylhet.
• Walk to the saint place and on the keen bridge which was built in the British period.
Sylhet – the Holy City Tour of Bangladesh
Day-7 (Sylhet), Visit whole day in Sylhet. Places are as following:
• Ratargul swamp forest– this is only swamp forest in Bangladesh. The main tour in this forest is boating through the canals and rivers.
• Lalakhal– A river where there is blue water. You can take a boat journey to see the hilly views.
• Overnight in Sylhet.
Day-8: (Sylhet to Dhaka), Drive to Dhaka from Sylhet. It takes about 6 hours.
• Overnight in Dhaka.
Day-9: (Dhaka visit), today you can visit these places as follows.
• Panam city, this Panam city where there are oldest houses used by Indian merchants, the British people and landlord. This city is abandoned.
•• Goaldi mosque, in Mughal time Muslim rulers build it.
• Sordar Bari, A landlord house and a museum.
** River Island (chor) – Today also you can visit a Chor island to see lifestyle of local people. OR, you can visit cloth weaving village with their traditional hand loom.
• Jamdhani Village, in this village people weave Jamdhani cloths with their hand loom machine. It is their traditional work and has been doing since Mughal period.
• Overnight in Dhaka. Or transfer to airport.
