Itinerary of Dhaka, Sundarban, Barisal and Srimangal Tour for 12 Days

1st Day – (Your arrival in Dhaka, Bangladesh)
Our English speaking tour guide will receive you by reserved AC car from Dhaka airport and transfer to hotel which can take about 30 minutes drive. Check in and refresh at hotel. After lunch, stroll around city in the afternoon. Overnight at hotel in Dhaka.
2nd Day – Dhaka to Khulna
After breakfast, we will drive from Dhaka to Khulna which will take about 4 hours for 250 kilometers. On the way, we will visit historical places in old Dhaka. After reaching in Khulna, you will check in hotel. Overnight at hotel in Khulna.
3rd Day – Sundarban Visit
You will join in a group tour in a ship where minimum 20 local and foreign tourists are to go to Sundarban. There are private cabin to sleep in the ship. Here we call ship (launch). All facilities such as washroom, kitchen, dinning place and sitting place to see the view from ship. You will walk in the forest and take a boat ride through the canal of the forest. There is possibility to see monkey, dolphin, crocodile, birds, boar and spotted deer. Overnight at personal cabin in the ship.
4th day – Sundarban visit
Early morning is the best time to walk in the forest and canal cruising with paddle boat. As it is a group tour with many local tourists, we have to follow same path. Whole day visiting and relaxing leaning on the chair in the ship running to next destination. The sun setting is amazing here. The day today is out of network and close to the bay of Bengal. The ship will run until mid night. Then we will anchor at a side for overnight stay in the ship.
5th Day – Sundarban Visit – Khulna
We will visit whole day in Sundarban as it is first day. After lunch in the ship, it runs back to the Khulna town. In the late afternoon, we will reach the town and transfer to hotel for overnight at hotel.
6th Day – Khulna to Barisal
After breakfast, we will drive to Barisal. On the way, you will visit 60 dome mosque – UNESCO declared world heritage site and a saint place. Reaching in Barisal, you will walk at the riverside to see local people and visit the market to see daily activities. Overnight at hotel.
7th Day – Barisal visit
Journey by night ship to Dhaka. If you like to see the only floating market of Bangladesh, it is the place that you have to go early in the morning ( starting about at 5 am). If you want to skip it, we can go to another time for only visiting to timber market, saw mill, brick factory, boating in backwater to enjoy silence. After lunch in as local restaurant, we will go to Mughal period mosque and a landlord house. Besides, you can visit Church and Hindu temple. Overnight a ship journey. There is private cabin and restaurant to buy food. If you do not comfort a night journey. We will drive toward Dhaka in the afternoon.
8th Day – Dhaka visit
Today we will visit ancient capital city of Bengal. This city is abandoned where there are many oldest buildings built following the British colonial style. You can also visit landlord house and museum. After lunch, there is another attraction to see is traditional hand loom. It was very popular in Mughal period. Till now the community holds its historical activities. Then drive back to hotel for overnight stay in Dhaka.
9th Day – Dhaka to Srimangal
We will drive in the morning which will take about 5 hours for 200 kilometers distance. Besides, there is traffic jam. On the way, you can visit brick factory, rice processing and paddy field. Reaching in Srimangal, you will check in hotel and refresh for a short time. You will take lunch then start visiting Monipuri tribal village to see the people and their traditional weaving cloths with the hand loom. You will also visit tea workers community to see their culture because their ancestors were brought by the British in British period. We can also take the taste of amazing seven color tea in seven layers. Overnight at hotel in Srimangal.
10th Day – Srimangal Visit
Srimangal is the tea Capital of Bangladesh because most of the tea garden are around Srimangal. The tropical rain forest Lawachara which is close to Srimangal that is why this place is good for nature lover and wildlife observer. You will visit the forest to enjoy nature and walk to a tribal village named Khasia. Khasia is originally from Mongolian community. You will see them and their lifestyle. After lunch, we will go to another tribal village Tripura to see them. Overnight at hotel in Srimangal.
11th Day – Srimangal to Dhaka
In the morning, we will visit local vegetable market, Hindu temple, pottery village then we will drive to Dhaka. You will reach in Dhaka in the early evening. Check in hotel for overnight stay in Dhaka.
12th Day – Transfer to airport for departure
We will take you to airport for departure. Trip ends.
