Itinerary of 4 Days 3 nights Trip to Dhaka, Barisal and Sundarban
- Start: Dhaka, Ends: Dhaka.
- Duration: 4 days 3 nights trip in Bangladesh.
- Destination: Dhaka – Jessore -Sundarban – Barisal – Dhaka.
- Time to visit: Round the year.
- Best time: November – February (winter). Good weather.
- To see guava in the Barisal floating market: June -August.
1st Day:- (Your arrival – Jessore – Sundarban)
Starts, Pick up you from your hotel or airport in Dhaka, our tour guide will pick up you at 8 A.M from your place and drive to airport for domestic flight to Jessore. Flight at 10 AM. Reaching in Jessore, there is a transfer to resort/cottage/hotel which takes about 3 hours journey. On the way, you can visit the following place according to your choice and time.
Visit, on the way, you will visit saint place of Khan Zahan Ali and sixty dome mosque (UNESCO declared world heritage site).
Visit, if there is enough time, you will visit some places such as local village, canal cruise by paddle boat.
Accommodation, overnight at resort close to the forest in Mongla.
2nd day: Visit Sundarban for Whole Day – Barisal
Visit to, Today we will visit the biggest mangrove forest of the world by engine boat or paddle boat. Sundarban is the home of Royal Bengal tiger. Here you may see spotted deer, monkeys and other animals. In the afternoon, we return to the town.
Drive to, in the afternoon, we will drive from Mongla to Barisal. Distance is 120 kilometers which may take about 3 hours.
Accommodation, overnight at hotel in Barisal.
3rd Day: Barisal Visit Whole Day – Dhaka
Start, depending on your choice you can visit these places.
Floating market, If you would like to see the floating market in Barisal, you have to start in the early morning (at 6 am). Floating market of seasonal vegetables and fruits are in every month ( guava market is in June- August).
Visit to Fruit garden, different plantations and country side. Then you can visit some village area.
Ship breaking yard, once upon a time it was a ship breaking yard. Now a days launch, engine boats are repaired and painting here.
Wood mill, this is a place you can see wood is collected and cut into pieces.
Lunch, you can take your lunch in a local restaurant where Bengali dishes are served. Or drive to the town to have food at better restaurant.
Oldest designed mosque, an old mosque was built in Mughal period. You can its area and remains of landlord.
Land lord house, there is a very old landlord house where you can walk around to see the area and old house. The house is not in use.
Accommodation in launch Barisal to Dhaka. You will travel by night ship starting journey at 8/9 PM. It takes about 8 hours journey by ship (overnight ship). In the ship, there are cabins (AC / NON AC) and VIP cabins. Food is available to buy from the shop and restaurant.
4th Day: Old Dhaka City Visit for Whole Day
Early arrival from Barisal, at launch station in Dhaka, you will get off early in the morning. You will take your breakfast at local restaurant on the way. As all tourist spots are not open until 9/10 AM, you have to move around to spend time. Then you will visit following places.
Sadarghat terminal, Sadarghat water transport station. The most busiest place for crossing the river by boats.
Ahsan Manzil – Pink Palace was built in Mughal period. The outside is a palace and museum inside the building. You can walk around to see the building and visit inside to see things kept to display.
Lalbagh fort built in Mughal period. You can see old house, mosque and get information of historical time. This is one of the best archaeological sites in Bangladesh.
Star mosque is mughal period mosque. The design inner and outer of the mosque is amazing for old time’s ceramic.
Dhakeshwery Temple– it is an oldest and popular Hindu temple in Bangladesh.
Curzon Hall– it was built in British period with the British design. Now it is used as department of Dhaka university.
Parliament building, a magnificence and legislative building of Bangladesh which can be visited from outside. It is one of the best buildings in the world.
Trip Ends at 6/7 pm. This 4 days 3 nights tour in Bangladesh gives you river life, archaeology and natural views.
