Itinerary of 5 Days 4 nights Tour in Dhaka, Barisal, Sundarban

  • Destination: Dhaka – Barisal -Sundarban -Dhaka.
  • Time to visit: Round the year.
  • Best time: November – February (winter). Good weather.
  • To see guava in the floating market: June -August.

1st Day:- (Dhaka visit – Barisal).

Starts, After your arrival in Dhaka airport, our tour guide will pick up you and transfer to the hotel (30 minutes drive). Depending on your arrival time, you can visit some tourist spots.

Ahsan Manzil – Pink Palace built in Mughal period. The outside is a palace and museum inside the building.

Lalbagh fort built in Mughal period. You can see old house, mosque and get information of historical time.

Star mosque is mughal period mosque. The design inner and outer of the mosque is amazing for old time’s ceramic.

Dhakeshwery Temple– it is an oldest and popular Hindu temple in Bangladesh.

Curzon Hall– it was built in British period with the British design.

Sadarghat terminal, Sadarghat water transport station. The most busiest place for crossing the river by boats.

Dhaka to Barisal, If we take a day journey, it is 4 hours drive to 200 kilometers distance by road. OR, you can travel by night ship, if you like. It takes 8 hours journey by ship (overnight ship).

2nd Day: (Visiting Whole Day in Barisal)

Floating market, If you would like to see the floating market in Barisal, you have to start in the early morning (at 6 am). Floating market of seasonal vegetables and fruits in all months ( guava is in June- August).

Visit to Fruit garden, different plantations and country side. Then you can visit some village area.

Ship breaking yard, once upon a time it was a ship breaking yard. Now a days launch, engine boats are repaired and painting here.

Wood mill, this is a place you can see wood is collected and cut into pieces.

Lunch, you can take your lunch in a local restaurant where Bengali dishes are served.

Oldest designed mosque, an old mosque was built in Mughal period. You can its area and remains of landlord.

Land lord house, there is a very old landlord house where you can walk around to see the area and old house. The house is not in use.

Accommodation, Overnight in hotel.

3rd day: Barisal – Bagerhat – Mongla)

Drive to, in the morning, we will drive from Barisal to Mongla.

Visit, on the way, you will visit saint place of Khan Zahan Ali and sixty dome mosque (UNESCO declared world heritage site).

Accommodation, over night at hotel in Mongla.

4th day: Visit Sundarban for Whole Day

Visit to, Today we will visit the biggest mangrove forest of the world by engine boat. Sundarban is the home of Royal Bengal tiger. Here you can see spotted deer, monkeys and other animals. In the afternoon, we return to the town.

Accommodation, over night in hotel.

5th day: from Mongla to Dhaka

Return journey, we will drive from Mongla to Dhaka by car to about 230 kilometers which takes approximately 5 hours journey.

Visit to, on the way, you will visit paddy field, rivers and fishing activities.

Archaeological sites, depending on the time, we will go to archaeological sites. Panam city, the ancient capital city of Bengal. Oldest house were built in the British period. This abandoned city is known as ghost city.

Drive to Dhaka and drop off at your hotel or airport. Tour ends.
