Itinerary of 12 Days 11 Nights for Nature Tour and diversity people in Bangladesh

1st Day: Your country- Dhaka. You will be welcomed at Dhaka airport and transfer to hotel. Depending on your arrival time, we can make some tour activities in Dhaka city. You may visit Pink palace, Lalbagh fort, star mosque, oldest temple and parliament building. Overnight in Dhaka.
2nd Day: Dhaka- Srimangal. After breakfast, continue drive to Srimangal. On the way, you will visit the ancient capital city of Bangladesh. Panam city Sonargaon of 8th century and Gualdi mosque of 16th century are the main attraction outside of Dhaka city. Then we will continue to Sreemangal. On the way, we can do some tour activities such as brick factory visit, country side and rice factory. After reaching there, check in hotel and take rest. Overnight in hotel (Srimangal).

Srimangal for nature tour – the tea capital of Bangladesh

3rd Day: Srimangal. After breakfast we will go to Lawachhara Tropical Rain Forest (Lawachara National Park) and walk through the forest to see Hoolock gibbons and other animals. It is a good place for nature, people and animals. You can visit Khasia tribal people living in the forest. We will drive back to the town and take lunch then continue driving to Madabpur Lake. On the way, you can visit hilly tea garden and walk through the tea garden to enjoy natural view and tranquility. Visit another tribal village and seven layer tea cabin. Back to hotel. Overnight in Srimangal.

4th Day: Srimangal- Sylhet: In the morning, visit local market in Sreemangal. We will visit handicrafts in Monipuri tribal community where they weave cloths with hand loom machine. Here you can see nature and people. Drive to Sylhet, check in hotel. Visit saint place which is the most famous in Sylhet tow. Overnight in Sylhet.
5th Day: Sylhet: In the morning, we will drive to the best only swamp forest. Visit swamp forest by boat to see the forest. We will drive to Bichnakandi- a water body to boat to see natural view in India.

Sylhet – A land of 360 Muslim Saints

6th Day: Sylhet. This morning we will drive a long way to visit Jaflong. This is a stone collection center where workers collect stones and boulders. We can see natural view. It is a good places to local people working and natural view. Take lunch then drive to Lalakhal for boating in the blue water to see India view. Overnight in Sylhet.
7th Day: Sylhet -Chittagong. This day is a long journey to Chittagong. On the way visit war cemetery, museum and Buddhist monastery in comilla. Check in hotel for overnight (Chittagong).
8th Day: Chittagong. Visit the biggest fish market of Bangladesh and salt production center. Drive to Sitha kundu a Hindu temple in natural hilly area. Back to hotel. Overnight in Chittagong.
9th Day: Chittagong-Coxs Bazar. In the morning, we will drive to Coxs Bazar. Check in hotel. After lunch, visit the longest sea beach of the world. Overnight in Coxs Bazar.
10th Day: Coxs Bazar- Dhaka. Long drive from Coxs Bazar to Dhaka. Overnight in Dhaka.

11th Day: Dhaka visit. Visit historical sites, temple and mosque. See people in their busy life. Overnight in Dhaka.
12th Day: Departure. Relax in hotel and wait for departure. Transfer to airport on your flight schedule. Tour ends.

Catch Our Travel Bug

We are typically independent, budget travelers. The problem is, there are no up-to-date guidebooks for Bangladesh at the moment. There are very few blogs, and many of the reviews and travel tales we came across detailed quite a few travel mishaps, many of them a bit scary. It was obvious places would be quite challenging to get to and we'd be limited to the main 'tourist hubs.'
There also seemed to be a limited choice of accommodation on booking apps compared to the amount you can see on Google Maps, and I couldn't find an app in English for transport booking.
I did a lot of research and eventually, I contacted Razbe from Orient Eco-Tourism. I explained we wanted a local experience and asked for suggestions as to whether everything on our wishlist was doable.
We went back and forth a few times, tossing out places that required hard-to-get and expensive permits, and a couple of other places that would have escalated costs, and came up with a 22-day tour titled 'Travel like a Local' for a very reasonable price.

It was so fabulous. We saw and experienced sooooo much more of Bangladesh and its people than if it had been just us traveling independently.

Eusuf was with us for the first 18 days and Razbe himself joined us for the last 4. They are both extremely knowledgeable and skilled guides who are passionate about their country but realistic about its shortcomings. Razbe is a quiet soul, and Eusuf has a belly laugh that comes from his toes. He kindly invited us to his home to meet his wife and young son and is generous to a fault. The people in the minority villages all know and respect him which in turn added to our experience.
Having a guide/translator made us accessible to the locals and them to us. Meeting the people was definitely one of the highlights.

Our experience with Razbe and Eusuf has provided us with a lot more understanding of this part of the world, and honestly, the Bangladeshi people are gorgeous. It's been one of our favorite adventures so far (in 15-plus years of constant travel and 136 countries.) But you will probably need help to access both the country and its people. We came to Sreemangal for few days and Razbe was our guide in Lachawara National Park. He is a professional guide and knows a lot about the eco system in the park. His English is perfect and that helped us a lot to communicate and learn a lot about the culture and life in Bangladesh. We highly recommend him if you come to Sreemangal.
